There are a number of researchers that have led the way in the field of high sensitivity - see books and research. This work has led to the creation of a few different self-tests that can help you determine if you fit the profile of a highly sensitive person. We suggest you take more than one of the tests below and compare results. If you have borderline high sensitivity, one test may place you in the high sensitivity 'camp' and one might not.
